Supplier Policy

This draft describes what SupplyVero expects from a supplier before a catalog can be offered to merchants. It is not an open application agreement, and supplier fees are not set.

Eligibility

A supplier should be a business that can lawfully sell the products in its catalog, stand behind its stock data, and fulfill orders it accepts. SupplyVero may refuse a catalog that it cannot review or that conflicts with this policy. Being discussed on the contact form is not approval.

Catalog data

A feed or API should identify products clearly enough for a merchant to make a listing decision. That normally includes:

  • A stable product and variant identifier.
  • A title, description, and images the supplier has the right to share.
  • A supplier cost and currency.
  • Available inventory, or an explicit statement when stock is not provided.
  • Variant attributes such as size or color, when they exist.

Inventory accuracy

Suppliers are expected to update inventory and costs often enough that merchants are not shown stock the supplier cannot ship. The exact synchronization interval is not finalized. If stock cannot be kept current, the connection should say that ordering is manual.

Fulfillment

A supplier that accepts automated orders is expected to confirm acceptance or rejection, and to return a tracking number when a shipment exists. Supplier payment terms and account holds still apply. SupplyVero does not take title to the goods under this draft.

Shipping disclosures

Warehouse location, shipping methods, and delivery estimates must be the supplier’s own information. They must not be presented as a SupplyVero guarantee. Merchants need those details so they can tell their customers the truth. Read Shipping and returns.

Returns

Each supplier defines whether a product can be returned, the window, and who pays shipping. That policy has to be available to the merchant before the product is imported. SupplyVero does not promise a blanket refund.

Prohibited products

Catalogs should not include products that are illegal to sell in the destination market, or products SupplyVero will not intermediate. The working exclusion list includes:

  • Weapons, explosives, and illegal drugs.
  • Counterfeit or stolen goods.
  • Products that infringe a trademark or copyright the supplier does not control.
  • Recalled products, or products the supplier cannot lawfully ship.
  • Goods that hide material safety or ingredient information.

The final prohibited list will be attached to the supplier agreement.

Suspension

SupplyVero may pause a catalog for inaccurate stock, unanswered orders, prohibited products, or a security problem with the feed. A final agreement will describe notice and what happens to products merchants already imported.

Contact

Suppliers can describe a catalog through the supplier contact form. The form states whether the message can be delivered.
